Abstract

ÖZET Dentomaksillofasiyal deformiteler maksillofasiyal cerrahide hastanın çene fonksiyonlarını, yüz estetiğini ve psikolojisini etileyen problemlerdir. Bu deformiteler birçok ostetomi tekniğini içeren ortognatik cerrahi uygulaması ile düzeltilebilmektedir. Sıklıkla kullanılan osteotomiler mandibula için sagital split osteotomi tekniği, maksilla için ise; Le fort I osteotomisidir. Ortognatik cerrahi ile ilişkilendirilmiş infeksiyon, kanama, relaps, istenmeyen kırık, kemik nekrozu, temporomandibular eklem problemleri, sinir hasarı, nörolojik problemler gibi birçok komplikasyon bulunmaktadır. Bu makalenin amacı ortognatik cerrahi ile ilgili komplikasyonları literatür dahilinde değerlendirmektir. These deformities can be corrected by orthognathic surgery which includes many osteotomy techniques. The common osteotomies are sagittal split osteotomy for the mandible and Le Fort I osteotomy for the maxilla. Many complications have been associated with orthognathic surgery including infection, hemorrhage, relapse, bad split, bone necrosis, temporomandibular jaw problems, nerve damage, neurologic problems.
