In this paper we developed the system CevapVer presenting a new Natural Language Interface to Database System for Turkish. CevapVer is a portable system, which answers native Turkish questions by translating them into SQL query. It takes questions from a Turkish subset, parses them using a Unification-Based Tree Substitution Grammar into a semantic representation like prolog description, and then translates that model into SQL query. The study also involves the explanations about the morphological analysis, syntactic analysis, semantic analysis and database query modules, which has originally been developed for the CevapVer system.
