dc.description.abstract | The liver which is the largest organ in the body, performs many different functions, such as processing, synthesizing, storing, transporting and excreting multiple substances as well as detoxificating of endogenous or exogenous substances. Therefore, the liver as a main organ for all these functions may be affected by systemic diseases, and altered results could be seen in liver tests and clinical findings. In this paper, the relationship between liver and systemic diseases are reviewed. | |
