Background: The clinical relevance of serum lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A(2) (Lp-PLA(2)) in populations prone to cardiometabolic risk needs exploration. We determined major covariates of Lp-PLA(2) mass, and its associations with cardiometabolic disorders.
