dc.description.abstractBackground: Contractubex gel, a commercial treatment for scars, consists of a mixture of onion extract (cepea extract), heparin sodium, and allantoin. It exerts a softening and smoothing effect on indurated, hypertrophic, painful, and cosmetically-disfiguring scar tissue.
