This study aims to present the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of the Axis I subtests of "Coolidge Axis II Inventory Plus" (CATI+TR-Axis-I). CATI+TR-Axis-I was administered to a sample of 1286 participants (59.5 % females, n=765) from various occupations, education and age groups living in Istanbul (mean age=33.4, SD=10.83). For testing convergent validity, Short Symptom Inventory (n=193), Current Symptoms Scale (n=120), Beck Depression Inventory (n=214), and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (n=193) were also employed. Test-retest reliability was investigated on a group of 52 university students. Cronbach's alpha values varied between .59-.88. Test-retest reliabilities were .79-.89. The factor analysis revealed a two factor structure explaining 81.12 % of the total variance. Convergent validities ranged between .52-.77. In terms of discriminant validity, CATI+TR-Axis-I sub-test mean scores differentiated those with and without history of psychiatric help, except for "Withdrawal" subtest. These findings are in line with the original version of the inventory and can be accepted as a good evidence for its psychometric properties. Although further tests are suggested in various clinical subsamples, CATI+TR-Axis-I is a promising tool for use in research in various clinical populations.
