dc.description.abstract | 2-Amino-5-chloro-benzophenonethiosemicarbazone (L-1) and 2-amino-5-choro-benzophenone-4-phenyl-thiosemicarbazone (0) were prepared, and their metal complexes with CoCl2, CuCl2 and NiCl2 salts were isolated in pure form. The ligands exhibit bi- or tridentate functions depending on the metal ion and the 4-H or 4-phenyl of the thiosemicarbazone, and the stable solid complexes are corresponding to the general formula [Cu(L-1)Cl] center dot H2O, [Ni(L-1)(H2O)Cl], [Co(L-1)(2)]Cl-2, [Cu(L-II)Cl]Cl, [Ni(L-II)Cl]Cl center dot H2O and [Co(L-II)2]Cl. Characterization of the compounds was accomplished by means of elemental analysis, molar conductivity and magnetic measurements, IR and H-1-NMR. spectra. | |
