The last total solar eclipse of the millennium will occur on Wednesday August 11, 1999. For an eclipse observer, the most important thing is the assurance of a dear. Eclipse observers are thus interested in the meteorological statistics along the central eclipse zone, but also in local facilities. In this study we give meteorological data for 10 cities which will be crossed by the eclipse shadow as well as information about their local facilities. Detailed climatological statistics for the month of August were prepared. The selected places are, in order of decreasing importance: i. Elazig, 2. Sivas, 3. Diyarbakir, 4. Turhal (district of Tokat), 5. Cide (district of Kastamonu) and Kurucasile (district of Bartm).
