dc.description.abstract | In this study Julio Cortazar's short stories a reanalyzed in the context of influences from different fields, reflections of the writer's worldview in literary sense and the certain preferences regarding organization of the narrative. The Argentinean writer's comments about storytelling and a bout his own works in the genre a re examined together with the studies of various scholars. The writer's "anthropological search" which has a quite decisive role in his short stories was also taken into account. Accordingly, his tendency of deepening which rejects the apparent reality, commonly accepted worldviews and cliches and which reveals itself in various levels in the works in question was emphasized. The surrealist influence, psychoanalytic content and distinctive techniques within the framework of the fantastic genre are discussed in relation to this viewpoint. | |
