The Relation Between The Images Of Vineyards-Orchards And Women And Women Body in The Folktales
Abstract
Every literaray creativeness is the result of the specific time and social conditions. This reality means much more importance especially for the oral culture products. Folktales, special examples of oral culture and literature, have emerged as a result of social and socio-economic developments, in other words as the new literary outcome of the new system. This article elaborates on the relation between the elements of the vineyards-orchards and women and women body in folktales which are products of literary creativeness of settled life and culture. The soil- the basic element of settled life and the vineyards -orchards, which grow up thanks to the soil constitute one of the basic life places discussed. The vineyards-orchards, which are seen as life places in folktale, are usually used in the conceptualizing of women body and perception of women. There are concrete datas concerned with this point, especially in the verse parts of the stories. Language is an important and effective factor in terms of the perception and construction of women body and feminity. Language and notions are related to socio-cultural life. In this context, this study analyzes the relation between the :elements of the vineyard-orchards and perception of women and women body.
