"Woman" in the Tarihin Arka Odasi

Abstract

This article analyses the TV program entitled Tarihin Arka Odasi and tries to show how women are constituted as historical subjects talking about history. It focuses on the way that gender is consructed and justified in different times and spaces. While exploring this, it takes into account that sexism is not only based on sex as it is seen in male- female duality, but it also consists of racial and cultural dimensions that black feminism puts forward.
