Change of perspective as a narrative principle in Katharina Hackers novel Die Habenichtse
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze Katharina Hacker's Die Habenichtse as a novel in which the constant change of perspective is a dominant structural feature. By separately switching between the points of view of various characters, Hacker provides a narrative witch a broad variant of perspectives. Thus Hacker presents the reader a complex view. The essay explores how, apart from confronting the reader witch a multi-dimensional reality, the switching in perspectives further contributes to the overall narrative.
