dc.description.abstractPurpose – The purpose is to investigate sources of risks in regards to multimodal transportation and its impact on lead time performance in the automotive dealership sector in Brunei.Design/methodology/approach- This research will be using qualitative research methods with primary data gathered by using semi-structured interview of eight respondents who are representing various organisations from the automotiveFindings- Automotive industry is heavily involved in global supply chain as vehicles are transported domestically and internationally. In the automotive supply chain, the operation flow consists of upstream and downstream. The research will be focusing on the downstream section of the supply chain to satisfy customer demand.Research LimitationsPractical Implications The risks that the organization faced and its impact will be analysis and assessed with the accordance to lead time performance. The researcher will also look into the organization’s strategies for mitigation and handling of supply chain risks. After identifying risk sources and its impact, the researcher will shift the focus to the implementation of Just-in-time (JIT) in the automotive dealership to achieve lead time reduction. dealership sector in Brunei.
