dc.description.abstractDandy is a society typology has emerged recently in the West. Through the Westernization process this type has been a social phenomenon and has also brought about the emergence of other new types. in Turkey this dandy type, appeared in the westernized sites, has been participating into social life. The appearance of the dandyism in social life has mostly been evaluated in novels. in this sense, the Turkish novel has provided a rich data fort he analysis of the dandy type. the discussion of the dandyism, starting from novels, also may give some ideas about the trends and directions of the change of Turkish society.
