ENDODONTIC TREATMENT IN A PATIENT IRRADIATED TO NECK REGION: A CASE REPORT
Abstract
The article describes the use of a novel formulation of irreversible hydrocolloid, which is available in different densities. A low-density material is used initially to capture fine details via an injection technique using a syringe apparatus. A high density formulation is then placed into a tray and used to capture the definitive border anatomy design for removable prosthodontic procedures. The major advantages of this technique are the lack of tissue compression, the simple methods employed, and the short time to obtain an impression.
