PROTECTION METHODS FROM INSECTS IN ARCHIVES AND LIBRARIES

Abstract

For the archives and libraries, insects are the most important sources of danger. The physical damage given to material can spread quickly and can threaten entire the library. In this study, conditions for breeding of insects, detection and intervention methods are approached. Intervention methods are divided into chemical and non-chemical methods, damage caused to the document and the user are researched and suitable methods are mentioned.
