ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND DENTAL MANAGEMENT
Abstract
Alzheimer's disease is a cortical degenerative progressive brain disorder that gradually destroy's a person's memory and ability to learn, make judgements communicate and carry out daily activities. Cognitive and motor deficits may led difficulties to perform adequate oral hygiene and communicate discomforts such as pain or dysfunction To maintain lifelong good oral health in this patients regular dental care is a necessity. The most critical point is to specify the individual treatment needs for Alzheimer's patients. This review summarizes the cause, epidemiology diagnosis, and dental management of alzheimer's disease.
