Abstract

This study was to investigate the factors affecting the welfare of Turkey and is meant to be compared with the factors affecting the welfare of European Union countries. According to the articles of the Treaty of Maastricht, which sets out the economic and monetary criteria of the conditions of admission to the EU, the disposable income, imports, exports, the effects of human development index, unemployment rate, foreign direct investment and public debt stock on GDP are tried to be determined with the Path analysis approach.
