Paralinones A and B, novel diterpene esters from Euphorbia paralias

Abstract

Two tetracyclic diterpene polyesters, paralinones A and B, with a new carbon framework, were isolated from an acetone extract of the whole plant of Euphorbia paralias. The structures of the compounds were elucidated by high field spectroscopic methods, including 2D NMR techniques and X-ray crystallography. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
