dc.description.abstractA new PDPI + PI type fuzzy logic controller for vibration suppression of buildings has been proposed in this study. First, a two-story building model that consists of steel plates and columns has been constructed and free vibration tests have been performed to obtain model parameters for simulations. Then a dynamic absorber with optimal mass value has been designed. Afterwards, to combine the advantages of PD and PI type fuzzy logic controllers, a new PDPI + PI type fuzzy logic controller has been designed. The numerical results have shown that using proposed controller the designed active dynamic absorber reduced building vibrations effectively.
