dc.description.abstract | An attempt to test the nova rate dependency on galaxy type has been made using archival HST data. 41 novae were detected in 17 galaxies beyond the Local Group. Thus it was possible to compute luminosity specific nova rates for 15 galaxies where only one of them (M100) had a previously measured nova rate. | |
