Changing Motivation Patterns amongst Turkish Managers
Abstract
This study evaluates top level managers in the Turkish private sector in terms of motivation theories of Maslow's 'Hierarchy of Needs' and McGregor's "X" and "Y" and then compares them with empirical findings from 1966 and 1978. This comparison sheds light to the trends in managerial motivation and reveals their adequacies and/or inadequacies.
