dc.description.abstractBackground. Endotoxemia increases hepatic toxicity and mortality in cirrhosis. Because the mechanism of augmented hepatotoxicity in endotoxemic cirrhotic rats is still unclear, we wanted to investigate whether oxidative and nitrosative stress play a causative role in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated cirrhotic rats.
