dc.description.abstractTurkey is a country surrounded by waters in three directions and with many water resource has experienced various trouble in the processes of management and usage of water resources. Existing legislation on water is investigated very briefly and the legal status of water the principles of usage of water, and the authorities are studied. Contradictions due to different acts on the same matter and the confusion of authority are underlined. Evaluation of the presented information ends in the conclusion that Turkey needs a new and complete "water act" regulating the subject of water in Turkey.
