dc.description.abstractAmbrosia beetles were investigated in Istanbul province. Trap logs were used to collect the insects. In total, 4 insect species, Xyleborus dispar, Xyleborinus saxeseni, Trypodendron lineatum and Trypodendron signatum were identified in 2008. Up to date, 12 ambrosia beetles were recorded in Turkey. The faunal composition, host plants and geographical distribution of the species were discussed.
